eBay Managed Payments: How We’re Growing
Our new program, which expands payment options on eBay, has processed over $636 million in payments for more than 6,000 sellers since its fall 2018 launch.
Shoppers expect to be able to check out and pay on the site where they’re shopping. eBay will now manage the payments transaction, which means shoppers will be able to complete their purchases all on eBay.
Data as of July 17, 2019.
After enrolling in managed payments,?DetroitAxle?owner Mike Musheinish?says the biggest benefit to his business is the savings on the payment processing fees on each transaction.?“Anywhere we could save, eBay’s helping us do it,” he says.
Seller Bhaumik?Gandhi says the biggest advantage of managed payments is the speed of?payouts transferred to his bank account after his customers make purchases.?Depending on the bank, sellers can typically expect funds?to be sent within 2-4 business days of an order confirmation.
*eBay aims to pay sellers as fast as possible, but turnaround times are dependent on the credit card brands (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, etc.) and banks for payout processing and timely funds settlement.
